Daily Tasks / Shared Living

Supported Independent Living (SIL) services provide help with daily tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, personal care, and support during medical appointments. However, SIL does not cover community participation, transport, internet connection, food, or consumables. In an SIL arrangement, support staff either stay with the participant or live nearby to provide assistance when needed, allowing the participant to maintain a sense of independence.
Centre of Care Services offers Supported Independent Living to participants who need help with daily activities. SIL is different from Specialist Disability Accommodation, giving participants more choice and control. Participants can access SIL if they have private space, whether living at home with family, alone, or with others. Our NDIS planning manager will assist in determining if your accommodation qualifies for SIL.
