Assist - Travel/Transport

Centre of Care Services, in collaboration with NDIS, helps participants build the capacity to travel independently through our transport and travel assistance services. This includes personal transport training to use public transport and related aids and equipment.

Our NDIS transport services support participation in community, social, economic, and daily life activities through taxis and specialist transport arrangements. We help physically disabled individuals live independently by providing access to alternative forms of transport.
Traveling by Yourself: We offer options to help you access taxis, rideshares, community transport, and other suitable methods. Funding for this is available under NDIS transport.

Travel Assistance: We can assign a support worker to drive you or accompany you on trips for shopping, social events, or medical appointments. The trips are charged per hour, including travel time and the support worker’s travel costs to and from your residence.

Increasing Independence in Transport and Travel: Our main goal is to help participants gain independence through our NDIS travel services. Many participants have taken lessons to manage their transport and travel needs. We assist in determining eligibility for funding capacity-building exercises, such as public transport training or driving lessons.

At Centre of Care Services, we recognise and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land we work and live on. We honour the ancestors who have walked this land for many generations before us and have left a legacy of rich cultural wisdom and knowledge. We pay our respects to the elders who have passed and recognise the contributions of Indigenous people to our community.
