Innovative Community Participation

Innovative Community Participation in Central Coast / Hunter Regions

Our innovative community participation program is designed to help people with disabilities engage with the wider community, interact socially, and participate in activities they enjoy.

This NDIS program has several benefits, including improving communication, building connections with like-minded individuals, and encouraging hobbies and recreational activities. It also provides opportunities for networking and potentially finding employment. Being part of a community helps participants become more independent and confident.
What the NDIS Program Includes:

  • Recreational Activities: Participants can try out a limited number of programs to see if they are interested. If so, they can continue with them.
  • Group Activities: This includes group events like camps and training sessions that help improve interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Other Items: This covers additional items or adjustments needed to support the participant’s needs.
At Centre of Care Services, we organize community participation programs that help participants socialize, interact, and build connections. We also involve relevant people from various sectors to enhance inclusivity, which has helped our participants attend events and find employment.

At Centre of Care Services, we recognise and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land we work and live on. We honour the ancestors who have walked this land for many generations before us and have left a legacy of rich cultural wisdom and knowledge. We pay our respects to the elders who have passed and recognise the contributions of Indigenous people to our community.
